The site is made with a plain text editor, using HTML Tidy to check for validity and an XML parser for well formedness, and occasionally a link checker. ssh and rsync are used for updating the pages on to the host.
Email policy
Unsollicited commercial email is of course unwelcome. Spam detection for this domain takes place at the SMTP level so a sender with a standards compliant email server should be told if their mail has been rejected.
Regular email should get through without problems, but text is preferred to HTML. Large emails sent without prior arrangement will bounce.
